Over the next 5 years, the NCAA and NBA will each invest $15 million to fund training and oversight of coaches, officials, families and players. The money will be used to create a corporation that will provide the training and oversight as well as educational efforts.
Right now there are not a whole lot of specifics as to what the corporation and its coalition of supporting companies and organizations will do specifically but the overriding goal will be to correct the lack of coaching and training that many perceive exists in youth basketball today.
